The best part about my job? Hands down, all the people I’ve been blessed to work with. I started organizing because it’s what I love. It turns out that I love getting to know my clients even better. But I know that hiring an Organizing Specialist can be very intimidating.
There are a lot of reservations around it because you’re letting someone into the messiness of your life. I know that’s not easy.
Today, I’m answering the most asked questions and concerns about hiring an Organizing Specialist.
If you’ve been hesitant about hiring an Organizing Specialist, or you never thought you could afford it, this post will tell you what you need to know.
Concern 01: “I’m embarrassed about the mess.”
What you’re really thinking: “Are you going to judge me for how messy my space is?”
As an Organizing Specialist, digging into messy spaces IS my job. (If you ask most organizers, it’s extremely exciting to see a messy space and we can’t wait to get to work.)
My job is to help you solve the problem to get your space into working order.
We all have things that fall into disorder. For some, it’s health. For others, it’s physical spaces. My job is to help you make your space usable again so you can be happy in it.
Can you imagine how it would feel to have your space go from this …
…To this?
Those messy spaces are overwhelming. Partnering with an Organizing Specialist can bring ease to the process.
Concern 02: “It’s too expensive.”
What you’re really thinking: “Is it really worth spending my money on?”
It seems like hiring an Organizing Specialist is a luxury. But here’s what you don’t know: when you work with an Organizing Specialist, you’ll spend less time organizing and you’ll save money in the end!
Investing in organizing gives you back your time because you’re not searching for things. Plus, you learn how to efficiently keep your home tidy. You won’t have to do major decluttering every single year.
It gives you freedom because you’re making better decisions about what to keep and what to buy, resulting in a clutter-free home.
Working with an Organizing Specialist, you’ll have someone to gently guide you through the organizing process and give you personalized organizing solutions.
Concern 03: “I can do it myself.”
What you’re really thinking: “There’s so much free organizing advice online. Why should I pay?”
According to the polls I’ve sent out, one of the top reasons people haven’t organized is that they have no motivation.
True, there’s a TON of free stuff online to help you get organized. But why should that motivate you?
Sometimes there’s nothing like a financial investment to light a fire under your feet. If you need to force yourself to organize your home, putting a stake in the game and working to get your money’s worth might do the trick.
Plus, when using the free advice given online, you miss out on organizing solutions that are personalized to your home, life, and budget …and I’m not just talking about organizing products.
Many solutions come in the form of systems and routines, which can only be personalized through consultation with an Organizing Specialist.
How would you feel if you weren’t constantly thinking about what you need to clean and organize next?
One of my goals for you is to create and implement routines that give you the freedom to live your life … instead of cleaning all the time!
Concern 04: “I’m on a budget and I can’t afford organizers.”
What you’re really thinking: “Isn’t it part of your job to make me buy expensive things?”
No.
Just because you can’t spend $500 at the Container Store doesn’t mean your house can’t be organized.
There are many products I’d love to use around my house, but I’m on a budget too. I know from personal experience that we can use items you already have around the house to get organized.
And if you don’t have what we need, I find affordable solutions, just as I do for myself.
Having the fanciest organizing products in the world doesn’t guarantee you’ll stay organized.
What matters is your ability to implement systems and routines that work for you and your family.
Creating systems that work for you is the most important part of my job as an Organizing Specialist. If you’re going to invest and spend all that time on organizing, it needs to last!
These are the top concerns I hear about hiring an Organizing Specialist. I hope this post will help you decide if professional organizing is the right choice for you.
Let me leave you with this: how would it feel to have a personalized plan for organizing your home with someone to guide you and provide solutions?
How would it feel to live in a peaceful, clutter-free home?
