Thinking about trying out the Day Designer Planner this year but don’t know what’s inside? I know what it’s like to buy a planner only to find out it’s not what you hoped it’d be. To eliminate buyer’s remorse on your part, here’s a list of what’s inside the Day Designer Planner.
Here’s what you’ll find inside the Day Designer Flagship Daily Planner.
Size & Cover Designs
Day Designer produces planners in both full-size and “mini.” All the pages and spreads are identical —the full-size planner has more space for writing.
Every year, Day Designer launches new cover designs. Others are “classic” and come back every year. Some of the exclusive cover designs aren’t available in the mini versions of the planners. This year, they’ve introduced linen covers. (I got Charcoal Bookcloth that makes my neutral loving heart sing.)
Front Pocket
The back of the cover includes a sturdy pocket. I don’t use it much except to hold stickers, and I’ve crammed quite a few in without the pocket coming apart.
Stickers
The included planning stickers are in gold foil. I’m not much of a sticker person, so these work fine for my purposes. If you like colorful stickers, I recommend supplementing with other stickers.
Bookmark Ruler
Mark your place in the planner with the included clear bookmark ruler.
Gold Coil
I keep my planner folded back to the current day. The coil holds up for all the folding and unfolding I do every day of the year.
Goal Setting Pages
The first few pages of every planner include goal-setting pages. I haven’t used these pages much except the ideal week page. (I use the PowerSheets for goal planning. You can get my review of PowerSheets here.)
Calendars & Holidays
One difference between the full-size planner and the mini is the calendar overview pages. The full-size planner includes a spread of the 12 months of the current year. The mini planner has a page for the current year and the following year.
Following the calendars is a list of holidays for the current year and the following year. After that is a blank page for filling in birthdays or other noteworthy days.
Planning Pages
Each month is marked with a gold foil tab opening to a spread of the calendar month, running Monday through Sunday.
